So the little man is getting big and Mama needs a job! We really dont want to put him in day care and trying to find a nanny job has been difficult. I know there are legit at home jobs but its word of mouth. I dont need to make a lot of money-just bring in something...

Please, please let me know if you have idea's or suggestions!

Pictures will follow. But you facebook people- my sister put some up from the baptism.

If you truely like children, I think being a nanny is a great idea. I'd make a little flyer with a bit about yourself and advertise to parents that in some cases it is about the same price to have a nanny as it is to put children in daycare. Distribute through your neighborhood so you don't have far to go to work. You could drop some off at the kid stores in town and at that toddler play area by the wellness center.

Not that you would EVER want to do this but just to spark some creativity.....Erin found a guy who will come to her home and pick up her dog poo!!!!! I"M JUST SAYING IT"S CREATIVE! If there's something you're good at, or willing to do, advertise it. OR go to 98.5 KTIS website. They have a link that's set up to be like neighbor helping a neighbor thing. I forget what it's called, something like, helping twin cities or something, but ANYWAYS, you could see what sparks the most interest in your area and advertise to do that (not for free obviously because you're trying to make some $) HAve you ever thought of doing a kid swap with a neighbor where you watch her kids 1-2days a week so she can do whatever and she watches Owen so you can work 1-2days. I can tell ya there are always mom's out there looking to kid swap. There's lots of us moms out there who want to work but don't want to spend that money on daycare, Sometimes defeat's the purpose of working! Hope that helps or sparks some ideas! Hope he's sleeping better now that things have slowed down. Let me know when you're back in the cities, love to see ya again! Oh, and thanks for the texts. I love getting them, I'm jsut a horrible texter. I need a different type of phone. It takes me forever to make a text. Take Care and I think of you often. Get outside tomorrow it's suppose to be gorgeous!

I agree with the ladies, in home child care is a good option. A lot of "work-from-home" positions involve online customer service and aren't "baby friendly." It may not hurt to browse the part time job listings either online or in the paper. I found online tutoring (see Sarah's comment) and randomly found a part time job that I'm only away from home for a few hours a week and do most of my work from home.
Good luck!
