The local news did a really nice story about a volunteer of ours. His name is Dave and his dog's name is Sasha. This is really an amazing dog and this story really reflects how wonderful she is, and her owner!
If you get a chance please watch it! It was all filmed at Regions but the little girl in it is a patient at Children's as well!
Enjoy!

Welcome to the world Jackson!
Last Thursday my friend Angie (from high school) brought a beautiful baby into the world, I guess her husband Chris (Kiwi) helped as well!
His name is Jackson David and he was 6lbs 14oz, 20 inches. He gave his Mama quite a hassle for a few days of labor, but he is here now and both Mom and baby are healthy and doing well!
Chris and Angie just a few days before labor began!
Baby Jackson
Daddy and baby! (I asked Chris if the baby was going to come out with an accent, since he is from New Zealand) But so far his cry sounds American!

Aloha!
What do you do when you're... VERY much in debt?
Your husband doesn't have an income?
You will be moving in the next few months?
You will need to (probably) find a new job?
You go to Hawaii!!!!
That's right, April 15th we are off to Oahu for a 8 night vacation before residency starts!
Another motivating factor for this trip is the Kokua Festival.
It is Jack Johnson's music festival which this year is going to feature Dave Matthews and Mason Jennings(my favorite)!!!
So we're going! And we're excited! If anyone has any suggestions on fun things to do please let me know!
Enough said!!

My baby is getting so big!!
Last week my aunt Julie came over with Caleb, the closest thing I have to my own child since I was there when he was born. My favorite was the leg holding, I had my head right in there so I could see everything!
Anyway, he is going to be 2 in May and I can't believe how time has flown. Being there when he was born was one of the most amazing experiences of my life and I am so grateful that I was there.
I can't get over how much he is talking. He says "say soo" for thank you and "brizza" for Elizabeth. Hey- I'll take it! He is very polite, "peez" is a very common word! The one word that you can't mistake is "No" and "Bye." He even knows some letters and colors, well he knows colors if you point to something blue, because blue is the only color he knows!
Anyway, he is growing fast and I love him so much!
Even if every picture I take of him he looks drunk or he is on a phone!

"Doctor Dilemma" M.D. = Mega Debt
This is a great article about medical school and our whopping debt. Although they have $150K for debt... I wish that was what we had!
Enjoy!

Okay, so I have a problem...
I admit it... I take a lot of pictures... these are the last of them!
Addi was really enjoying collecting all the water bottles. She also shared them with Annie.
Someone needs to invest in kids cups so that my guests under 5 don't have to drink out of shot glasses... poor Addi
Mom and Dad and baby Kade
Naked baby!

More of the ATL
Welcome to Hot-lanta...kinda...
So, a few weeks ago Bryan and I took a trip to Atlanta so that Bryan could take a test. They offer the test in 5 cities in the country and since one was Atlanta we decided to make a weekend of it and stay with my uncle Jeff. We had a nice weekend and even though it snowed... yes snowed when we were there it was nice to get away!
This is the snow on Jeff's hot tub in the back yard. We did get some hot tubbing in though, so that was nice!
This is the Aquarium that we went to in downtown Atlanta
This is Bryan and Jeffie looking at the fishies, which I had to drag them away from.
Bryan petting the sting rays
My favorite animal at the aquarium
